ALL ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jessica! I am a violinist, vocalist, and educator living in Covington, Kentucky. I began studying violin at the age of 10 in my hometown, Lexington, Kentucky. What began as an extra-curricular activity soon became my passion and I went on to study music in college. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music (Vocal Performance) from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky in 2004 and have been writing, playing, and teaching in the Greater Cincinnati area ever since! I was trained classically but I enjoy playing and singing in many styles. I have performed in many different settings over the years - orchestral ensembles, musicals, memorial services, weddings, retirement homes, and parties.

I began my music business in 2005 and I frequently perform at weddings and events in the Greater Cincinnati and Central Kentucky area. I have many years of experience in helping couples select the perfect music and creating the sound they truly want for their special day. Whether it is the elegance of solo violin, soaring soprano vocals over piano, unique, contemporary vibes with violin and acoustic guitar, or pop and rock favorites your guests will want to sing along to, I absolutely love creating the perfect soundtrack for my clients!

I also play solo shows at local venues and I am a member of Common Center, a seven piece all original band.

Performing was my main focus for many years, but my desire to give back and share my passion with others in a new way grew stronger. Three years ago, I decided to grow my career as a private music instructor. I now have a home studio in Covington, KY. It is an absolute honor to share the gift of music making with others. Some of my fondest childhood memories were from orchestra class and violin lessons. Now it thrills me to be in the teaching role and watch my students grow and light up as they express themselves through music!

I am also a Teaching Artist with Skool Aid. The company’s mission is to enrich the lives of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky children through quality after school, during school and summer programs. I have developed my own curriculum for a class called Passport to the World and currently work at several local preschools and elementary schools, sharing my love of music, dance and art with children and increasing their global awareness and appreciation for diversity.
